I clearly have Stockholm syndrome: cried when I left Baby Leopard for my first night away. Also didn't manage to sleep through the night, although there were no baby's cries to wake me up.
You haven't left Baby Leopard overnight before? I was talking about going to an interview next month w/ my advisor recently, and he said that it would be really hard for me to leave the baby for that long. I thought he meant for all the logistical reasons like pumping and stockpiling milk, but it turns out that he didn't even know it was possible to pump breast milk, and he just meant b/c I'd be really sad without her.
Never! We did all our travels as a whole family up till now. Congrats about your interview! That's great news. And very sweet that he meant that you'd be sad without her!
That's impressive. I can't imagine taking the baby to a job interview, or really anywhere that's not a friend's or family member's house. I'm not even sure where babies are supposed to sleep if you travel with them somewhere that lacks a crib. In a dresser drawer?
It is sweet, but I find it hard to believe that I will not be grateful for one full night's sleep.
Oh goodness I'm the same way. Whenever we get a chance to be away from the kids, I never sleep well. Either the bed is uncomfortable, or I'm used to walking up multiple times or, more recently, I come down with a respiratory virus and have fevers on and off all night.
I had mixed feelings the first time I left Zork, but since then, it hasn't been difficult to dump the kid/s with the grandparents. :-)
