This book is the worst version of fairy tales I've ever seen. The pictures bear almost no relation to the rhymes. (Unless you think Little Miss Muffet is a monkey, eating bananas, and the spider is another monkey or a turtle.)
I think that this would be forgivable if the book were some generic, random book, but it's labeled Fisher Price.

I think these illustrations match the visual theme of their infant activity gym. (I am distressed that I instantly recognized that even though we don't even own that gym.) I guess branding trumped sense in this case.
I was wondering what could have possibly induced these illustration choices!
