In Which We Approach Politics Through Economics
This may be the cardinal sin. Goodness gracious, I still sympathize with the medievals and Ezra Pound on the evils of usury. Here we are learning who will likely win political races based on the experts voting with their money--and making money off of speculation on future events that they are not causing, but rather guessing about. Evidently this is some people's livelihood. This is second in reprehensibility only to people who earn their living towing other people's cars and holding them hostage for a fee. They could at least call you instead of secretly holding your car, charging you more and more until you notice it is gone!
