On Business Cards

Every time I have to write my number and email address on a scrap of paper at a party, I am pleased. No, I do not have business cards, because I'm a grad student. And I'm glad to be a grad student. Plus, I am happy not to have business cards. I think I would feel silly if I had business cards. Unless I had a cool old-fashioned business card holder. In which case, I would feel very cool.

I think an awful lot about your personal value system could be derived from this short post.

I agree with Percy. And I'm going to give you my business card. Which I do not give out at parties.

Sayers: Good work at not giving them out at parties (I would give in and do it if I had them). I was reflecting on if any of my friends had business cards so that I shouldn't write that post, and I figured you were the only person who both reads my blog and has business cards. I could be wrong there.

Percy: Clearly, my value system is infinitely deeper and more complex than this! (actually, I sort of think you're right...)

One of my friends has business cards he passes out from his time as a life coach: "changing one life at a time. yours." Pretty good, I think.

ahem. you are wrong. there are two readers with the despised cards. mine have never been circulated at a party either.

Have these ever been distributed in Williamsport, Diana?

only to obligatory parties, like parents and grandparents.
