Budapest's Hero's square has in the center a monument to the seven leaders of the Magyar tribes who originally united to form Hungary. The monuments are very eerie because there are no eyes--not for the horses, nor for the men. It gives you the feeling that they're ghosts in a legend. Or that they're going to wake up and come and get you. Or that they should be in The Lord of the Rings.
Surrounding this central monument is a semi-circle of statues of the most important Hungarian kings.
The statue below is not in Hero's Square (it's really confusing to call it Hero's Square, since it's mostly a large semi-circle). But I've included it here because it also has no eyes. This statue is called Anonymous, and it stands in honor of a man who wrote Magyar history.

Probably somewhat predictably, I love the big brooding Anonymous statue.
