Restaurant Review

Me Jana is a wonderful Lebanese restaurant in Arlington (near Courthouse). There is lots of outdoor seating, which is lovely in the summer (it was a bit windy when I went, but nothing blew away). The food was really delicious and interesting--for instance, Lahem be Ajeen, which is baked pita dough, topped with ground lamb, spices, and pomegranate molasses (it was as amazing as it sounds!). The pita bread in general was outstanding. Another interesting one was the zucchini fritters, which were comprised of shredded zucchini, mint, scallions, egg whites and cheese. There were also more standard fare like grape leaves and falafel. Eating lots of little things is just a really wonderful way to eat, and the waiters were friendly and prompt. Plus, we followed dinner by watching a documentary of past royal weddings!
