Wonderful Carolina-style bbq with homemade hush puppies (it never even occurred to me that that was possible!, and which the sweet little one-and-a-half year old boy kept running around calling, "Puppies!") and key lime pie. Very Southern: we listened to the host play country music on his guitar in between the courses of meat. As the Norwegian guests pointed out as we sat on the porch listening to the guitar, it was just like in all of the American movies.
