Friday Phone Dump

I've been remiss about photographing my house just yet. But, on the other hand, we're still getting settled.

So I'll eventually post some real pictures, but in the meantime, here are some phone pictures to hold you over.

Above: moving in when you already know your neighbors is great, because they leave you flowers in your house.

Mama Leopard's lovely peach cream pie. (When Francisco and I visited, despite being ill, she made me all my favorite foods--lemon risotto and homemade donuts and monster cookie batter.)

The woman who inhabited my office before me really loved elephants. But not enough to take these decorations with her.

I don't like this one, either, but it's still on my office wall, since I don't know where to hide it:

My own decorations: various pictures masking taped to the wall (my favorite decorating style).

A great bookstore that Francisco sent me to in Chicago:

I realized that my preferred interior decorating aesthetic is quirky used bookstore.

My new campus:

The room in which I presented in Chicago:

The merest sliver of seats were occupied, but presenting in such a beautiful (and large!) room was quite an experience.
