Christmassing

On Christmas Eve, we shared presents with our cousins; Francisco took the boys out sledding while I napped on the couch; and we went to the lovely vigil mass.

Then we had our wonderful family Christmas Eve--a table full of food, Christmas carols, games, the Christmas story read by one of my uncles. The boys had so so so much fun playing games with their cousins. I love seeing the relatives!

On Christmas we had to say goodbye to Ilana and her family. We opened presents with my parents and ate a cheese board for lunch. Nana cooked an amazing turkey/stuffing/mashed potatoes and gravy feast while I (once again) napped. Embarrassing. (I'm not feeling great--my mental health has been remarkably ok for the chaos of the holiday, but maybe it's coming out as lots of foggy fatigue? All I want to do is sleep.)

And also: Games. We played a new games that Q got, and Nana and Papa and the boys played Clue.

Also: So much holiday overstimulation and sugared up tears today. Blaze cried hard when he found out that he did not receive a $350 gift that we told him he definitely wouldn't be getting. (We did get him another more modest gift that he was very happy with!) Q cried the *he* didn't get the gift that Blaze got, though as I explained a thousand times, they will both always be playing together. So I was very impressed that I didn't really get too mad at anyone and was a sympathetic mother to my ridiculously lacking-nothing children (except when they tried to talk to me through the duration of my nap).
