And when I say that, I do not mean, "the Pill is not the greatest choice of contraceptive for bulimics." Nor do I mean that "bulimia can be treated with birth control pills."
Rather, I mean to reflect upon the observation of a friend of mine (hat tip! [it's rather difficult on anonymous blogs!]) that there is a resemblance between birth control and bulimia: both involve engaging in a sensually pleasurable act (sex and eating), but endeavor to undermine particular physical impacts of those acts (children and caloric intake); really, they undermine ends inherent in and central to those acts.

Yes! When arguing with non Christian or non Catholic friends about birth control or homosexuality I often use bulimia as an example of trying to get the pleasure of an action without actually following through with the action, because everyone agrees that bulimia is disordered and opposed to nature.
But one question I always have is, can catholics enjoy sugar free sweeteners?

I do sometimes. The end of sweet tastes is not always energy (cf. cinnamon or various sweet herbs).
