Contra Crusises
Lawrence, on being asked to explain the appeal of the cruise:
People like cruises because there are elevators on water. It is the same reason most people like the walking on water scene.
People like cruises because light a cake on fire is always a fun thing to do. It is the same reason most people like the burning bush scene.
People like cruises because you sit at the same table for an entire week and the same man serves you food, which you are told is good. It is the same reason most people like the Lord's Supper scene.
See, there are loads of reasons to go on a cruise, most of which, of course, amount to ... acceptance of something as a good.
