Williamsport

Dear readers, I've told you, right, that I'm from one of the beautiful places of the earth?

Okay, so I haven't been to Colorado, although I'm hoping to finagle a layover there on a trip to the West. And I think that Eastern Slovakia gives Central PA a run for its money. And southern Virginia has a similar beauty.

These pictures are from my drive home from a picnic on Sunday. It had just rained and you can see some hints of the low-hanging clouds that remained.

On the way, a black bear ran across the road in front of my car. I'm used to deer running across, but this is only the second black bear I've seen from my car.

These pictures are from my walk today. The fields are loaded with corn at the moment.

And little yellow finches! Seriously--there must've been a dozen, and they kept landing on the purple thistle bushes!

You always capture the nicest shots of the places you visit! I loved seeing all these scenes every day over the past 10 days, and seeing you! (I'm quite homesick at the moment.)
