I find "Arthur" to be an excellent name for creatures whose gender I have yet to discern.No one has publicly taken offense at such nomenclature.
Hmmm...you do know that there are actual gender neutral names, right? And that Arthur doesn't work so well for a girl :)
May I interject to tell you that I named my daughter Arthur with no ill effects.
