Triple Rainbow

I found this arguably triple rainbow on my flight last weekend. I'm calling it triple because I can pick out three red rings, but I don't know how these things are counted exactly. (I extra saturated the picture below so you can see the color more brightly.) So, up to how many rainbows is it actually possible to see? Could they go on forever? (People, I still really can't understand how it looks like a circle from the air and a half circle from the ground.)

(I have trouble reading articles for technical scientific explanations of stuff, but you can read about tertiary and quadruple rainbows here and here. What I got out of those descriptions is that a) I saw the sixth triple rainbow in 250 years and b) Pictures from the sky are better.)
