Today's first reading was great in about a dozen different ways, including that I'd never read it before, but this line was especially interesting to me, given my quirky views on complementarity, which, I must mention, I got straight from Edith Stein, who says that very holy men and women often have both masculine and feminine characteristics, like God:
"Filled with a noble spirit that stirred her womanly heart with manly courage"
Well, as you might imagine, I don't really like calling it "manly courage," but I do like when women have it.
Read the whole thing here.
