The Week

Blaze told us he came up with a foolproof way to determine if Santa is real: Put out cookies. If they are eaten, Santa is definitely real. "Because who would come into a random person's house and eat cookies?" he asked. 

Last night we delivered all but two of the rest of the cookies to neighbors--the ones across the street we met for the first time!

Something that made me laugh when I found it on my To Do list: "Buy sports bras for prison."

This passage at the end of Gilly Hopkins has stuck with me and I keep thinking about it.
