Rant

I don't have too much to say, nor too much time in which to say it, so I'll offer, for your entertainment, two brief rants:

A) The weather: too much rain and too many clouds. Every time that the sun broke through the clouds today I rushed outside to try to get Vitamin D and tan.

B) Marriage: Some people congratulate me on my engagement and upcoming wedding as if I've won the lottery of life in a way that I've been losing it for the past 30 years. When a man gets married, on the other hand, it's lamented as a loss of freedom. (To tell the truth, it's probably not the same people who have both of those responses.) But, as far as I can tell, marriage will be both really wonderful and a lot of hard work, and that will be true for both the man and the woman.

That said, no need to hold back the congratulating! I love celebrations!
