Solving the World's Problems

One of my only half-serious thoughts is that if I were the world's consultant, everything would work better.

For instance, why did Snowden reveal his information without an airtight strategy for not getting caught? Why didn't he, say, go to Venezuela or Ecuador and then share all his information?

I was baffled by that as well. Snowden's approach reminds me of that old Far Side cartoon where the Viking chief is telling a bunch of raiders "Remember, guys -- pillage first, THEN burn!"
