Advent

It's the best time of year, especially with a hot drink and my new (old) Elvis Presley Christmas record.

Franciso just picked us up a perfect, little (and better yet, cheap) Christmas tree (at our favorite discount grocery store, Produce Junction*). It's not decorated yet, so I'll have to share pictures later.

Our brand new creche is set up on the piano.

I've been crafting up a storm, with more crafting to come. (It's funny to go to Michael's--I clearly don't know nearly as much about crafts as anyone else there. They sort of condescend to me, or are super helpful in a friendly way. But I don't actually want to be friends; I just need a certain kind of glue. Let's just say I don't feel loads of crafting camaraderie.)

I brought back to life my advent "wreath" from Little Gidding days. I put "wreath" in quotation marks because I don't like the branches part of the wreath--the lose their needles and go everywhere. I'm fine with just the candlesticks. Poor Francisco, I think he's disappointed by the lack of actual wreath.

* I should tell you about Produce Junction sometime. It's super cheap. But probably not in an advent post.
