Sabbatical Good-byes

After mass and saying good-bye to the priest, I totally melted down. So I spent the rest of the day at home, resting and with Francisco moving our things from bag to bag until each bag weighed exactly 50 pounds. And washing the walls--all the walls of our house have been very well washed.

Francisco bought one last fish and chips for the boys.

Q got his uniform shirts signed by all his friends, a tradition at that school. Blaze's teacher got cake for his departure! His class made him a card and gave him one of the lego to which he and his friends are so devoted. His best friend made him a collage. The kids are all so thoughtful. Q is filled with sadness at leaving.

I loved reading about the gifts but also got very stressed about how much they might weigh.

Hahaha. Thank you for making me laugh. Exactly! And bulky! The collage is framed! But I think we've got it all in. Whether or not Blaze can carry the backpack we have for him is another story. (Experience tells us he will not.)
