Bad mental health day. Grateful for Francisco taking care of everything when I couldn't and for his patience.
The most annoying part of the day--we went to the British Museum and waited in line for 20 minutes to get in for a Minecraft activity that was cancelled at the very last minute. Not even an apology. (But we did like a short hands-on activity in which the kids and I could hold real Roman pottery and a Roman denarius and learn about a pin that soldiers used to secure their cloaks.)
The best part of the day--Francisco and I left the kids home with video games and a phone and walked two blocks to try a new Spanish restaurant for a late lunch. We shared tapas and a glass of rose with an accent mark and ate slowly, and the windows were open, and it was bliss.
After mass, Q, knowing I was having a bad day, suggested that we all watch a movie that I'd been suggesting, a favorite from my childhood--Father Goose. So we started that and were all entertained.
