Another low mental health day. It feels terrible to cause so much pain to the ones I love the most. I also need to stop reading Graham Greene while I'm feeling bad. (Hopkins: The Heart of the Matter was very intense! Then I listened to his play, "The Living Room," which had similarities.)
We started with some paddle boating at Hyde Park, which we all loved. The boys could kind of do it themselves together for part of the time, which was amazing. Far less stressful than punting! And such lovely sunny weather. It was nice to spend time together on the water.
Then we took the kids across the way to a new (to us) playground at Kensington Park. There were lots of kids and they had fun.
I fell took a nap in the afternoon while Francisco made enchiladas.
In the evening we went to the green--I sketched and Q worked on a poem and Blaze played with his friends and Francisco read.
Blaze hasn't been hearing well and today it's gotten a lot worse so Francisco's taking him to the doctor. It is hard to parent a kid who can't hear! Poor boy. Update: Double ear infection, but maybe it's viral so we're supposed to wait and see. Healthcare is so much more laid back here.
