After a day of resting and packing, we took up cooking in the afternoon--we got to have one of Francisco's friends from graduate school over for dinner. What a charming friend and excellent conversationalist! And he totally engaged the children! They really liked him. He suggested that they explore the crawlspace above the boys' room and declared the boys "repressed" (he's a psychiatrist) when they said they had to ask their mom first. Such a fun evening. I laughed a lot. We've had so much fun this year hosting dinners. It is one of my absolute favorite things to do.
